We are pleased to present the second lecture from the series on healthy lifestyle and sports, prepared as part of the project “Scientific and Information Center”. The aim of the project is to popularize modern scientific approaches that allow to strengthen health, improve physical fitness and achieve excellent results in sports.

In a new lecture, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Senior Consulting Expert of Peptides, Head of the Laboratory of Basic and Translational Research of Aging at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “Institute of Experimental Medicine”, Professor of the Department of Organization of Healthcare and Public Health of the National Research University “Belgorod State National Research University” Natalia Sergeyevna Linkova will talk about the effectiveness of using peptide bioregulators in professional athletes.

The lecture covers key aspects of the use of peptides in sports practice, including:

Antioxidant effect: Reduction of oxidative stress induced by physical effort thanks to preparations such as Pinealon®,Endoluten®, carnosine.
Nootropic effect: improvement of cognitive functions and concentration, which is particularly important for athletes performing heavy loads. Examples: Pinealon ®, Cerluten ®, ACTH fragments, vasopressin.
Adaptogenic and immunomodulatory effect: Increased resistance to stress and strengthening of the immune system with the help of drugs such as Pinealon ®, Kristagen ®, Endoluten ®, Vladonix ®, Timalin ®, Timogen ®.
Stimulation of hematopoiesis: Regeneration of the body after training by improving hematopoiesis processes (e.g. Bonomarlot®, growth factors, interleukins).
Activation of metabolism and cell regeneration: acceleration of regeneration and reduction of the risk of injury with Endoluten ® , Svetinorm ® , Gotratrix ® .
These properties make peptide bioregulators an important tool in maintaining the health of athletes, improving their physical performance and increasing endurance.

Join us, watch this lecture and learn how peptide bioregulators can become a part of your life, helping you not only achieve your sports goals, but also maintain your health.

Nowadays, fitness clubs offer different types of training: group strength training, stretching, pilates, step aerobics, dance, yoga, gym and pool training. Anyone who cares about their health can find a type of physical activity that suits them. That is why fitness clubs have enjoyed huge popularity in recent years.

There are 4 essential conditions for effective sports: proper nutrition, daily routine, training 3-4 times a week and the use of bioregulators, which will help to fulfill the first three conditions in the best possible way. When training in fitness clubs, it is very important to take into account the age of the person exercising, whether they have chronic diseases, what goals they set for themselves when planning the training process. If all these conditions are met, then the training will be beneficial to health, there will be no injuries and fatigue. Thanks to this, you will maintain and improve your health and beauty and will always be full of strength and energy. To learn more about the 4 essential conditions for effective sports, you can listen to our lecture.

To better understand the challenges faced by fitness club clients, we interviewed 5 leading fitness instructors and athletes from St. Petersburg: three-time Russian wellness champion Elena Sandayevskaya, St. Petersburg and Russian bikini fitness and fitness pair champion Anastasia Solovyova, Russian classic bodybuilding championship medalist Maria Buchel, D’Athletic tournament medalist Yulia Bokareva, and sports dietitian and nutritionist Yulia Kornilova. Here’s what we found out.

Who visits fitness clubs most often?

The most common clients of fitness instructors are people aged 20 to 40, about two thirds of them are women and one third are men. Recently, fitness clubs have also been willingly visited by people aged 50-60. The most common requests are weight loss, increasing muscle mass, improving general tone, endurance, strengthening ligaments and joints. Clients often come to us with spine problems that require not only strengthening the core muscles, but also correcting posture. This is because many people have sedentary jobs and a sedentary lifestyle. To normalize the functions of ligaments and joints during sports, we can recommend peptide bioregulators in capsules Sigumir, Kartalaks, Revilab ML09 and Hondromix – cream-balm and tablets.

Sigumir   is a polypeptide complex obtained by extraction from the cartilage and bone tissue of young animals. The active ingredient of Sigumir is a tripeptide antiepileptic drug –  Cartalax,  which includes alanine, aspartic acid and proline. Sigumir was initially recommended for the prevention and maintenance therapy of musculoskeletal diseases. During physical activity, including strength training in the gym, joints and ligaments are subjected to high mechanical loads, as they are functionally and anatomically connected to muscles. There are often situations in which rapid muscle mass growth leads to insufficient function and injuries of joints and ligaments. To prevent this, you can use Sigumir or Cartalax. Bioregulator  Revilab ML09  is characterized by high efficiency in maintaining the function of joints and ligaments, strengthening bone tissue. It is a complex of short peptides (immune system, blood vessels, carbohydrates), omega-3 acids, carnosine and enzymes of the antioxidant system.  Hondromix cream-balm  contains peptides of cartilage tissue and blood vessels, thanks to which it has a relaxing effect, restores blood circulation, relieves swelling that presses on nerve endings, restores mobility and lightness to joints.  Hondromix in tablets  : the composition of the drug includes ingredients necessary to maintain a high level of metabolism in joint tissues, also helps to relieve inflammation resulting from increased load during training: chondroitin and glucosamine sulfate, methylsulfonylmethane (organic sulfur), grape seed extract, frankincense extract (contains a plant equivalent of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), enzymes of the antioxidant system (catalase, superoxide dismutase).

Eating Right Is No Easy Task: Let’s Get Down to the Details

According to trainers, one of the most difficult tasks is to explain to the client that 80% of success in losing weight or building muscle mass is proper nutrition. Many people mistakenly believe that if they put all their effort into exhausting exercises, and do not follow the right diet and daily routine, they will achieve results. Some clients of fitness clubs, not following the recommendations of trainers regarding nutrition, daily routine and exercises, and not seeing the results, become depressed and start to “eat” stress. In addition, many inexperienced clients of recreation centers take medications and dietary supplements (DS) to lose weight and burn fat, which can have negative consequences for health.

There is a lot of information about proper nutrition, maintaining the proportions of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Why is it so difficult for many people who train to follow these rules? Due to the busy work schedule and daily duties, many people have difficulty paying attention to their diet and cooking at home. Instead, they snack on fast food, flour and sweets. There is a surplus of calories, which leads to overweight and various diseases. All fitness instructors emphasize that it is very difficult to change the client’s unhealthy eating habits. They are formed over a long period of time and become an automatic reaction to certain situations, e.g. stress. It is very important to work on it. For example, replace unhealthy snacks with healthier substitutes.

The perfect snack replacement can be  the Reviform cocktail  . It contains isolated soy protein, skimmed milk powder, coconut powder, whey, chicory inulin, soluble dietary fiber (gum arabic), vitamins C, B1, B6, B12, PP, folic acid, calcium pantothenate, biotin, iron, manganese, copper, iodine, selenium and zinc. The Reviform cocktail can be used to regulate cholesterol and glucose metabolism, normalize digestion, prevent diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. It will help to avoid overeating sweet and flour products and build beautiful body proportions.

Dietary Supplements: Trainers’ Recommendations

The basic set of dietary supplements for people who care about their fitness, according to trainers and athletes, are: vitamins D3, A, E, omega 3 acids, fish oil, amino acids glutamine, arginine, BCAA, as well as protein and gainers, if the goal is to increase muscle mass. According to trainers, it is often difficult for clients to eat the right amount of food rich in protein, and sometimes it is not possible to cook it – in such a situation, a protein shake comes to the rescue. Gainer contains not only protein, but also carbohydrates and can be used as a healthy snack. The  Reviform shake  is perfectly balanced in terms of protein and vitamins, as we wrote earlier. Trainers also recommend the use of yoquinbine, magnesium, calcium, zinc, selenium, folic acid, riboxin + mildronate, L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10, glucosamine/chondroitin. It is very important to remember that recommendations for the use of dietary supplements are selected by a specialist individually for each trainee, depending on the tests, age, the presence of chronic diseases and the goal set. Here is how coaches and athletes comment on the appointment of the most important dietary supplements.

  • BCAA   — essential branched-chain amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, and valine). These amino acids are called essential because the body cannot synthesize them on its own. They can only be supplied from the outside. BCAAs prevent catabolism (the destruction of muscle fibers), support muscle growth, and increase strength.
  • Arginine   – This amino acid helps dilate blood vessels, improves nutrient delivery to organs and tissues, and stimulates the outflow of metabolic waste products. Arginine is essential for increasing nitric oxide production, as training at higher levels of nitric oxide contributes to muscle growth. Arginine increases muscle sensitivity during training.
  • Omega-3 acids   are polyunsaturated fatty acids that are an important component of a healthy diet. Omega-3 acids help improve heart function and blood circulation, normalize blood pressure, and reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. It helps maintain the beauty and health of the skin, hair, and nails.
  • Coenzyme Q10   is a coenzyme found in mitochondria (the “power plants” of all cells), which supports energy metabolism in cardiac and skeletal muscles, prevents the development of atherosclerosis, enriches muscle tissue with oxygen and slows down the aging process of the body.
  • L-carnitine   is a compound of two amino acids – lysine and methionine, and belongs to the group of vitamin-like substances. Its synthesis in the human body requires vitamins C, B3, B6, B12, folic acid and iron. L-carnitine speeds up metabolism, supports muscle growth and fat burning, improves food absorption and lowers blood cholesterol levels.
  • Glucosamine/chondroitin  is involved in the formation of connective tissue, helps prevent the destruction of cartilage, joints and ligaments, prevents inflammatory processes and accelerates the regeneration of cartilage tissue. Supports increased joint mobility.

The above list of dietary supplements that increase the body’s reserve capabilities during training is quite long. In this regard, it is more convenient and effective to use complex dietary supplements, which include, among others, non-peptide bioregulators:  Revilab Pro Elements   – replenishes vitamin deficiencies (A, E,  D3   , B6 ) olive oil, rich in Omega 3 acids, vitamin A and E.

In addition, to increase the effectiveness of the training process and normalize metabolism, we can recommend  Revilab Peptide Collagen  , which contains cartilage tissue peptides, fish collagen, vitamin C, strengthens joints and ligaments, has an antioxidant effect, as well as   Volustom®  ,   an adsorbing complex based on dietary fiber, which normalizes the work of the digestive tract and corrects weight by detoxifying the body.

Why do clients skip training and how can it be avoided?

Trainers say that most often clients miss classes due to poor health. This can be an acute respiratory viral infection (cold), muscle pain after a previous workout, or painful periods in women. To solve these problems, you can use peptide immunoprotectors (Vladonix, Kristagen), a complex of muscle polypeptides Gotratix, a complex of cardiac polypeptides Chelohart, and peptide bioregulators that normalize reproductive functions in women – Endoluten, Zhenoluten and Revilab ML08.

Vladonix   is a polypeptide complex obtained by extraction of the thymus of young animals, an analogue of the drug Timalin. The active substance of the preparation Vladonix is the tripeptide EDP,  Kristagen  , which consists of glutamic acid, aspartic acid and proline. Vladonix and Kristagen stimulate the differentiation and activation of T and B cells, macrophages, NK cells, activate proliferation (division) and reduce apoptosis (programmed death) of immune and stem cells. These peptides have an antioxidant effect and protect against stress. During periods of physical exertion and psychoemotional stress, athletes are recommended to use the preparation Kristagen to maintain the functionality of the immune and antioxidant systems. The effectiveness of its use has been proven by athletes from the Russian National Team in Artistic Gymnastics.

Gotratix   is a polypeptide complex obtained by extraction from the muscles of young animals. The effectiveness of Gotratix was demonstrated in a clinical study involving 37 veteran athletes (rowing, athletics) aged 40–64. The use of this peptide bioregulator contributed to the improvement of the following indicators: long jump, gait test, flexibility; reduced fatigue and shorter recovery time after training.

Chelohart   is a polypeptide complex obtained by extraction from the hearts of young animals. Chelohart is effective in treating hypertension, atherosclerosis, arteritis, ischemic heart disease, myocardial hypertrophy, and myocardial dystrophy. During physical activity, especially cardio, the heart works more intensively. Both beginners and experienced athletes should take care of maintaining the proper activity of the cardiovascular system. For this purpose, it is recommended to use Chelohart.

Zhenoluten  and
Endoluten   are polypeptide complexes obtained by extraction from the ovaries and pineal gland of young animals. When the balance between the female sex hormone estrogen and its antagonist testosterone is disturbed in the body, muscular dystrophy, obesity, and painful and irregular periods can occur. In this case, the use of Zhenoluten and Endoluten in women will help normalize hormone levels, eliminate pain during menstruation, and stimulate muscle growth. It is worth noting that the equivalent of the Endoluten dietary supplement is the drug Pineamin, which is used during menopause in women. Pineamin differs from Endoluten in a higher concentration of peptides and is used according to the doctor’s recommendations. Endoluten contains a smaller amount of pineal peptides and can be used to prevent aging and diseases of the reproductive system in women.
Revilab ML08 ®  is a complex of short peptides (pineal gland, vessels, cartilage, bladder), omega-3 acids, arginine and resveratrol for the female reproductive system.
